Electricians

Wulguru Rail are seeking Electricians to join our Rollingstock Maintenance team on a full-time basis. 

Duties & Responsibilities: 

• Maintain close working relationship with the Electrical Site Supervisor 
• Install, connect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical components including wiring, conduits, panels, switches, light fixtures, circuits, switchboards, etc.  
• Test systems for safety and continuity
• Interpret electrical plans
• Document work activities and follow Supervisor's directions
• Ensure work meets industry standards and deadlines
• Mentor apprentices
• Rotating three week shift work which includes day shift, on call shift and afternoon shift 

Experience & Attributes:

• Current QLD Electricians Licence
• Additional certifications such as Senior First Aid, forklift, EWP, and White Card are desirable
• Strong knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations
• Written and verbal communication skills required
• Ability to read and understand electrical system schematics
